There are three core elements of relationships with work: energy, involvement, and efficacy.
Engagement with Work is the positive end of the scale, characterized by high energy, focused involvement in work, and a sense of efficacy. Burnout is the negative end of the continuum, characterized by exhaustion, cynicism, and inefficacy.
