Successfully negotiating the changing world of continuing care requires forward thinking and creative leadership. Great leadership requires support through up-to-date information, clear plans, and communication, but the strength of leadership comes from an individual’s willingness to be a champion of change demonstrated in the strength of their leadership style. This program brings together continuing care leaders from across Nova Scotia who share a commitment to strong leadership to meet the evolving challenges of the sector, to share their knowledge and develop specific plans to effectively meet their organizational requirements. The program will provide an opportunity for you to enhance your leadership skills and abilities and move forward with your organizational change initiatives. This program is dedicated to your success as a leader, and your role as a change champion in your organization in the Nova Scotia continuing care sector.
What is Responsive Leadership? Leadership is “the ability to bring out the best in oneself and others,” all the while striving to create an effective operational future state that embodies the organization’s core values and vision.
The Responsive Leadership program is designed to:
- pool the knowledge of all the learners
- acknowledge that learners are moving toward a future state together and not in isolation
- enhance your internal capacity as a leader
Its intent is to enhance your abilities as a leader to allow you to successfully navigate the changing landscape. It is a holistic approach that will affect how you interact with all aspects of your life. It will affect your relationships at work, at home, and in the community.
