The Centre

COR&D works to enhance the quality of organizational life for people. It strives to establish collaborative relationships with organizations, identifying factors affecting staff capacity in order to reach their potential through their work.

Michael P. Leiter, PhD, established COR&D in 1991 to address the human resource challenges of organizations. His work as an organizational psychologist convinced him that high quality work environments required better information about the relationships of people with their work. He realized organizations that used and applied this knowledge could improve their work environment and enhance their productivity.

COR&D examines organizational relationships through topics such as burnout, civility in the workplace and managing change. The Centre is committed to its dual focus of excellence in research and optimizing organizational worklife.
